  • Reimbursement by Check Discontinued 01 Oct 05

Beginning 01 October 05, FINCEN is requiring all customers (Auxiliary members included) to receive payment via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). In August, POMS paid over 800 claims via check and included a notice indicating the mandatory 01 October EFT requirement.

After 01 October, any Doc type 27 (POMS) claims will be place on hold and will contact the member regarding the requirement. The member is allowed a certain number of days to sign up for EFT in order to receive their payment. POMS will grant exceptions but they have to be in writing and approved by FINCEN.

EFT enrollment forms are available in Appendix G of the Auxiliary Manual (page G-56) and in the Forms section of the Auxiliary web site:
    http://216.167.73.185/~forms/forms.html
    (Form FMS-2231).

Fax enrollment forms to the Finance Center at: (757) 523-6769.

Enroll on-line at the Finance Center website: http://www.fincen.uscg.mil/aux_info.htm
